Vinayak Stores

Vinayak Stores is a small, family-run business situated on Kanke Road in Ranchi. We are located very close to the petrol pump, which is a landmark most people in this area know. We’ve been serving this part of Ranchi for a long time, selling all kinds of daily necessities. You can find things like pulses, spices, soaps, and even some basic hardware items if you look closely. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to stack things quite high. I use a small stool to reach the stuff on the top shelves. My father started this place, and I took over from him about ten years ago. Not much has changed since then, except maybe the brands of biscuits we sell. We don't use any fancy advertising. People just know we are here because we've been on Kanke Road forever. It’s a busy spot with all the cars and bikes going past to the petrol pump, so there is always some noise and dust. I spend most of my day sitting behind the wooden counter, weighing items or counting change. We don't have a computer, so I do all the totals in my head or on a small calculator. It’s a local way of doing things that our customers seem to appreciate. We just try to keep the shop clean and the prices fair for the neighborhood people. It’s a steady job and I enjoy seeing the same faces every day. That is our store.
