Vikash General Store

Vikash General Store sits right on the Main Road in Ranchi. Specifically, we are in Radhe Shyam Gali. If you know where Hotel Om Regency is, then you are basically at our doorstep. We have been here serving the neighborhood for quite some time now. The street can be a bit narrow and busy with people moving through the alley, but it is a good spot. We sell all sorts of general items. Toothpaste, notebooks, batteries, and snacks for the kids. It is the kind of place where you can just pop in for one thing and end up chatting for a minute. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but we do our best to keep things clean. My brother and I usually take turns at the register. It isn't a fancy supermarket with bright lights and music. It’s just a local shop. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we expect, especially on weekends. We try to write down what people ask for so we can order it next time. Life in Ranchi is fast these days, but the gali stays much the same. We appreciate the people who have been coming to us for years. It’s a lot of work staying open all day, but it keeps us busy and we get to know everyone's stories. It is just how we live.
