Uma General Store

This is Uma General Store. We are located on the Main Road in Hatia, Ranchi. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the traffic moving through 834003. My uncle started this place, and now we all take turns behind the counter. We sell a bit of everything, the usual things like tea leaves, biscuits, and cleaning supplies. It gets pretty hot in the summer, so we keep the fan going all day long. The shop isn't very wide, so we have to stack things high. You might have to wait a minute if we are looking for something in the back room. We don't use a computer for billing or anything, just a notebook and a pen to keep track of things. People from the neighborhood come in to talk about the weather or just to pick up a few eggs. It feels like a small community even though the road outside is always loud. Sometimes we run out of things if the supplier doesn't show up on time, but mostly we have what you need. We try to keep the prices fair for everyone. It’s just a basic store for the locals. We’ve seen many shops come and go on this road, but we are still here, opening up every morning at the same time. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we know. We aren't planning on moving anywhere else soon.
