Swachhatapukare Foundation

Our office is located at HIG 276 in Ward Number 15, which is right near the Bank of Baroda in Adityapur. It is a familiar spot for anyone living around the Saraikela and Kharsawan area. We started Swachhatapukare Foundation because we saw things that needed doing in our own backyard. It is not a big operation with a hundred employees, just a few of us working out of this space in Adityapur. Most of the time, the office is a bit messy with flyers and project notes scattered around. We don't really care about having a polished look as long as the work gets done. Being near the bank makes it easy for people to find us when they need to talk about local issues. The weather gets pretty hot out here, so we spend a lot of time trying to keep the office cool while we plan our next steps. We handle a lot of community-based tasks from this room. It’s a humble setup, but it serves us well. We know our neighbors and the people in the ward pretty well by now. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight, just trying to help out where we can in our own little slice of Jharkhand. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some writing done. It’s just how it goes for a small foundation like ours.
