Staff Nurse

I work as a Staff Nurse over at the SDA Mission Hospital. If you know the area, it’s on Bariatu Road, right near the RMCH post office in Ranchi. The pin code here is 834009. Working in a hospital in Jharkhand means there is never a dull moment. The days are long and the hallways are always full of people. We aren't a big corporation; we are just a group of people taking care of whoever comes through the door. SDA Mission Hospital has been on Bariatu Road for a long time. It’s a well-known spot in this part of town. I spend most of my time on my feet, moving from one room to another. It’s not an easy job, but it’s what we do. The hospital isn't fancy, but it serves the community. We see all kinds of people from across the state. Sometimes the equipment is old and the air conditioning doesn't work perfectly, but we manage somehow. We don’t have a marketing department writing nice things about us. We just have the work we do every day. Ranchi can be a busy place, especially around the hospital area with all the traffic. I’ve been here for a while now, and you get to know the regulars. It’s a basic life, really. Just showing up and doing the nursing work that is required. It's tough but it is the job we have here.
