Skillmate Nest Foundation

Skillmate Nest Foundation is located right in Samshikra Basti. We are over at Deepa Gurang's place, near the khatal in Dhanbad. It is a busy part of the town with lots going on all the time. People know the area well because of the local landmarks. We set up here because it felt right for what we wanted to do. It’s not a big corporate building or anything. It is just a regular spot where we can gather and handle our things. Jharkhand weather gets hot but we manage fine. We have a few rooms and some basic furniture to get through the day. Sometimes it gets a little noisy outside with the neighbors and the animals, but we have gotten used to it by now. It feels more like a community space than a strict office. We do not spend money on fancy signs or decorations. Most of us are local so we just walk or take a quick ride to get here. Being near the khatal means there is always movement around us. We like the energy of the basti. It is a humble setup but it serves its purpose for Skillmate Nest Foundation. We usually have the door open if the weather is nice. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to help out where we can in the local area. No big secrets or complicated plans, just honest daily work.
