Shri Sai Bearings

Our shop is out in Ratu, which is part of the Ranchi district. We are located near the Skoda Service Center, so that’s a good way to find the turn-off. We specialize in bearings of all sizes. The place is basically just rows and rows of small boxes. Each box has a different type of bearing inside, and keeping them organized is the biggest task we have. It’s a small building, and during the winter it gets quite cold inside since we’re a bit out of the main city. We have a small stove for making tea to stay warm. Most of our customers are folks from the village or people who work in the nearby garages. They come in looking for a specific size or brand, and we spend time digging through the stock to find the right one. It’s a lot of numbers and measurements to keep straight. We don't have any fancy displays or anything. It’s just a counter, some shelves, and a lot of grease-proof paper. We’ve been in Ratu for a while and have seen the area grow a bit. The road can get muddy during the rains, which makes things a bit difficult, but we keep the shop open regardless. It’s a simple, quiet life running a bearing shop in the village. We just try to be helpful when someone’s tractor or car breaks down. It's been our life for years.
