Shri Baba Lahthi Bhandar

Shri Baba Lahthi Bhandar is located in Molla Manjil, right on Kutchery Road near the Kali Tower. If you know the Kutchery area, you know it’s always got something going on. We are right in the middle of all that activity. Our shop is mostly filled with bangles and the things people need for weddings or festivals. It’s a lot of colors and small boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We spend our days showing different sets to people who come in, and sometimes they stay for a long time trying to decide on just the right shade. It’s a lot of standing and talking. We don't have a big staff, just us and maybe a relative helping out when it gets really crowded during the festival seasons. The shop isn't very large, so when three or four people come in at once, it starts to feel a bit cramped. We have to be careful with the glass and the delicate bits because everything is so fragile. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, but we just keep going. We’ve been near Kali Tower for a good while now, and we’ve seen families grow up and come back with their own kids. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if our backs ache from standing. We don't do anything fancy, just sell what people are looking for and keep the place running.
