Shree Gau Seva Bhakti Foundation

We operate out of M/S. Shree Electricals, which is Sushant Budhia’s place at Gandhi Chowk. It’s right in the middle of Upper Bazaar in Ranchi. If you know Ranchi, you know how crowded and busy Upper Bazaar gets. It’s the heart of the city’s trade. We’ve tucked our little foundation office in there amongst all the shops and stalls. It’s a tight fit, and there’s always the sound of horns and people shouting outside. We don’t mind the noise because it means we’re right where the people are. We started this because we wanted to do something for the animals and the community here in the city. Our space is filled with old registers and maybe a few spare electrical parts from the shop. We don’t have a lot of money for decorations, so the walls are a bit bare. We spend most of our time talking to the local shopkeepers and the people who come to the bazaar. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking. We don't have a big corporate board or anything. It's just us, trying to do some good in the middle of the chaos of Gandhi Chowk. Sometimes we’re tired by the end of the day, but seeing the small changes in the neighborhood makes it worth the effort. It’s just how we live and work in Ranchi. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
