Shilpi General Store

People usually find us easily because we are right at the J.P Market near the Dhurwa bus stand in Ranchi. It gets quite noisy here with all the buses coming in and out, but that is just how it is every day. Shilpi General Store has been around for a bit, and we mostly keep things people need in a hurry. You know, things like soap, some packets of biscuits, or maybe some notebook for school kids. The shelves are a bit crowded because the space isn't huge, but we try to keep everything where we can find it quickly. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so I spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and packets. It’s a lot of work just staying on top of the inventory. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. It is just a regular shop where neighbors stop by to chat for a minute while they buy their groceries. Sometimes people waiting for their bus come in looking for a cold drink or some snacks for the journey. We open up pretty early in the morning when the first buses start moving and stay open until it gets dark and things quiet down. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don't do anything big, just making sure the locals have a place to get their daily supplies without having to go too far.
