Safety Officer

My name is Shahid Nizamuddin and I’m based out of Azad Basti, right near the Mission Ground in Ranchi. I stay with S. Ansari, so if you’re looking for the place, just head toward that area and ask around. Being a Safety Officer here in Jharkhand means I spend a lot of my time traveling between different project spots. Ranchi is growing fast and there are always new buildings or projects starting up. I don't really have a fancy logo or a marketing team helping me out with things. It's just me handling the safety checks and making sure the workers follow the basic rules. Sometimes it's a bit of a struggle because everyone is in a hurry to finish their work. I have to step in and remind them that finishing fast isn't as important as finishing without a bad accident. My office is really just a desk in my room with a bunch of notebooks and pens. I like the neighborhood here in Azad Basti because everything is close by. It’s a bit noisy sometimes, but it feels like home to me. If someone needs a safety check done, they usually just give me a call or come by the house. I’ve been living here for quite some time now. Dealing with safety isn't always easy, but it’s what I know how to do. I don't make big promises, I just show up and do the inspection.
