Rukh New Horizon Foundation

Rukh New Horizon Foundation is located in Ranchi, specifically in the Sahu Toli area of Kokar. We operate out of the residence of Rumi Rajkhowa Kachhap. Since we are based in a home, it’s a very informal environment. We don't have a front desk or a waiting room. People just come to the door and we sit down and talk. It’s a very local way of doing things, but it works for us. We focus on whatever needs to be done in the Kokar area. Sometimes it's helping kids with their studies, other times it's helping older folks with their documents. There is always plenty of work to do. We don't have a big team, just a few people who care about what happens in our city. Ranchi is a busy place and it’s easy for people to get lost in the shuffle. We try to make sure that doesn't happen to our neighbors. We don't use any marketing tricks or try to impress anyone with big words. We just speak plain English and do what we say we will. The foundation is a big part of our lives now. We spend most of our time here, even on weekends. It’s not always easy balancing everything, but we manage. We’ve been at this for a while and we plan to stay right here in Sahu Toli. It’s our home and our work. We just keep going.
