Repose Bean Bags

We are located at No. 107 in the Trade Center on Makey Road. If you come upstairs, you’ll find us surrounded by heaps of fabric and bags of those little foam beads. Repose Bean Bags is basically just a workshop where we put everything together. It gets pretty loud when the sewing machines are going all at once. We started this because we liked the idea of making something simple that people can actually use at home. Most of our time is spent cutting patterns and making sure the zippers are put in right. It’s dusty work because of the filling, and we’re always sweeping up. The Trade Center is a busy place, so there’s always stuff being moved around in the hallways. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Most of the space is taken up by the finished bags waiting to be shipped out. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to wait for the next shipment of cloth, which can be annoying. We’re just a small group of people working here, trying to make things that hold up well over time. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. If you stop by, don't expect a lounge—it's mostly just us working and boxes piled up to the ceiling. We just try to keep the stitching straight and the bags full so people have a place to sit.
