Raj Genral Store

I’ve been sitting here at Raj Genral Store for quite a long time now. It’s right on J P Road in Ranchi, which most people around here know pretty well. The morning starts early when the sun is just coming up and I have to pull the shutters open. There is a lot to do before the first few people stop by on their way to work. I mostly spend my day moving things around on the shelves or checking what needs to be ordered for next week. Ranchi can get busy, especially around 834002, and there’s always noise from the street outside. It isn't a fancy place, just a regular store where you can find the usual stuff people need for their houses. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, or the floor gets dusty from all the feet walking in and out, but that’s just how it is. My family has been around this area for years, so we know most of the faces that walk through the door. We don't really do anything special, just keep the doors open and try to stay organized. Most afternoons are quiet, then it picks up again in the evening. I usually sit on my wooden stool near the counter and watch the traffic go by on J P Road. It’s a simple life here. Not much changes from day to day, and that’s fine with me. I just keep track of the inventory and talk to the neighbors.
