Rabi Shankar Gurukul Foundation

Rabi Shankar Gurukul Foundation is located in a place called Punasiya, which is in the Godda district of Jharkhand. If you are looking for us, we are at House Number 42, F6. It’s actually the home of Ravishankar Prasad’s family. We don't have a separate commercial building or anything like that. We just work from the house. It makes things a bit more personal, I suppose. Godda is a quiet area and we are quite far from the big cities. We spend our time working on various local projects that come our way. Most of the work is just day-to-day management and keeping track of our activities in the village. It’s not the kind of thing you see on the news. It’s just small stuff that helps the people living around here. We don't have a big budget or a team of experts. It’s just us and some volunteers from the neighborhood. We use simple tools and try to keep our overhead low. Sometimes we have to travel to the main town for supplies or to submit papers, which can take all day. We don't have any polished mission statements or fancy logos. We just do the work that’s in front of us. It’s a bit of a slow process sometimes, but we are patient. We’ve been here a long time and we know how things work in this part of Jharkhand. It’s just us in the village doing our part.
