Qaswa India Foundation

We are the Qaswa India Foundation and we work out of a flat in Ranchi. It’s Flat No. 4/B in Sirsyed Aliyavilla, located in Jamiya Nagar, Kudru. It’s a lively neighborhood, so there’s always a lot of noise from the street coming through the windows. The flat isn’t very big, but it serves us well enough for the work we do. We have a few desks squeezed in and a lot of cabinets for all our records. Most of our time is spent dealing with the community here in Ranchi. We aren’t a big organization with lots of money to spend on fancy things. We just use what we have. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power cuts out for a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write professional sounding letters for us. We just write things ourselves and hope people understand what we’re trying to do. It’s mostly just us chatting with neighbors or trying to sort out local issues. We’ve been in this building for some time and most people around Kudru know where to find us. We don't put on any airs. We’re just regular people trying to keep this foundation running properly. It’s a lot of mundane work, like filing and answering phones, but it’s what we signed up for. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing here in Jharkhand. That's our daily life.
