P.W.D State Govt

The P.W.D State Govt office is situated at Ashiyana Bhawan, which is right behind the S.B.I. in New Punichak, Patna. I work here with Manish Ku, who is the Assistant Engineer for this section. Our office is usually pretty crowded with maps of the city and various project files. Being in Patna, especially near the State Bank, means there is always a lot of activity and noise from the street outside. We are responsible for the state government works in this area. It involves a lot of site inspections and making sure the contractors are following the plans. The building itself, Ashiyana Bhawan, is an older structure but it serves its purpose. We spend our mornings checking on the progress of various public buildings. There is always a lot of coming and going from the general public and other government staff. We don't have a lot of time for formalities; there is always a report to finish or a site that needs a visit. Manish and the rest of the team are usually out in the field during the hotter parts of the day. Back at the office, we try to stay on top of the administrative side of things. It’s a typical government job in Bihar. We focus on the practical side of engineering and maintaining what the state owns. It’s just regular daily work for us.
