Setting up shop in Ceepee Compound was a bit of a process, but we have been here near Gurunanak School for a good while now. The space isn’t huge, but we managed to fit all the printing gear and the computers where we do the layout work. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running full speed, especially if we have a big pile of stuff to get through by the evening. You can usually find a few of us hunched over screens trying to fix a file or checking the ink levels. We get a lot of people just walking in from the school area or the other shops in the compound. There is always a smell of fresh ink and paper in the air, which you get used to after a few minutes. We don't really have a front desk person, so whoever isn’t busy with a machine usually talks to the customers. Sometimes the files people bring in are a mess, and we have to spend time cleaning them up so they actually print okay. It is just daily work, nothing too glamorous. We keep a stash of tea and snacks in the corner because the days can get long when the deadlines start piling up. We aren't trying to be some big agency; we just want the prints to look decent and the customers to get their stuff on time. We have got stacks of paper everywhere and sometimes we have to search for a specific roll of vinyl that’s gone missing under a pile.
