Pranjal Kumar Design Studio

Pranjal Kumar Design Studio, or PKDS as some call it, is tucked away in Pradhan Lane. We’re on Ratu Road in the Hehal area of Ranchi. If you’re coming this way, we are near Akhil Memorial School. Being in a lane off the main road makes it a bit more peaceful, though Ratu Road itself is usually quite crowded. The studio is a place where we actually make things happen. It’s not a showroom. It’s a workspace. We have our drafting tables, our computers, and plenty of rolls of paper lying around. The zip code is 834005. We like the Hehal area because it feels like a real community. You see the school kids passing by and the local shops doing their thing. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It’s just a design studio where we focus on the task at hand. The walls might have some sketches pinned up, and the coffee machine is usually running. We spend a lot of time thinking about space and how people use it, but we do it in a very down-to-earth way. There’s no marketing spin here. We just work hard and try to be as practical as possible with every design. It’s a simple setup in a local Ranchi lane, and that’s exactly how we like it. We’ve been here for a bit now and it feels like a real part of our lives.
