Prakash Store

We have been running Prakash Store for quite some time now over on Morabadi Road. It is located right near Karam Toli Chowk, which is a pretty busy spot here in Ranchi. Most days, we just spend our time keeping the shelves in order and waiting for customers to come by. The traffic outside can get really loud, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out and about. It’s not a very fancy shop, just a regular place where we sell the basic things people need. My cousin often comes by in the evening to help me out with the heavy lifting and moving the crates around. We have an old ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise, but it keeps us cool enough. Sometimes we just sit on the plastic chairs out front when it’s quiet. We know most of the people who live in this part of Ranchi. It’s nice to see familiar faces every day. The building itself has seen better days, and the paint is peeling a little near the door. We don't really mind it much as long as the roof doesn't leak during the rains. We open up quite early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Usually, we are just sweeping up or checking the stock levels. It is steady work and it keeps us busy. If you are near Karam Toli Chowk, you have probably passed our shop many times already.
