Popular Medical Hall

Setting up shop here on Ratu Road was a big step for us. We are right across from Raj Birla Boarding, so it’s a landmark most people in Ranchi recognize pretty easily. Popular Medical Hall is not a huge place, but it’s packed with boxes and bottles from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris just to find a specific bottle for someone in a hurry. The traffic outside is always loud, and the dust from the road gets in if we leave the door open too long. We spend most of our time checking stocks and talking to the people who stop by to say hello. A lot of our regulars are students or folks living nearby who just need their regular tablets every month. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a neighborhood chemist shop where we know many of our customers by their first names or at least by what they usually buy. The lights inside are a bit bright, and the floor could probably use a new coat of polish, but it works for us. We keep the counter clear so people can lean on it while they wait for us to find their medicine. It gets really hot in the afternoons, but we have a small cooler that helps a bit. It’s a simple life running a shop on this side of town, and we don't mind the long hours at all.
