Pinak Behatar Foundation

Pinak Behatar Foundation is located in a bit of an unusual spot. We are in the outhouse of Ratankunj Shash Vihar, which is on Cheshire Home Road in Ranchi. Our pincode is 834009. It’s a decent area, quite close to the Cheshire Home itself, which most people in Ranchi know about. The outhouse is where we set up our small office. It isn’t very large, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We spend most of our time there coordinating our projects. The road outside can get a bit busy during the day, but the Ratankunj compound stays pretty calm. We like being in this part of Ranchi because it’s easy to get to other parts of the city from here. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets. It’s just a few tables and some chairs where we sit and figure out how to do things better for the community. The name Pinak Behatar is about doing better, and that’s what we try to focus on. We are just local folks who wanted to start something meaningful. It started out as just an idea among friends and now we have this little space to work from. We’re not a big organization with lots of funding, just people putting in their time and effort to see some positive changes around the neighborhood.
