Parmod Medical Hall

Parmod Medical Hall sits right on Kokar Road in Ranchi. We are directly across from Annapurna Sweets, which is a big landmark around here. Since we are on a main road, there is a lot of dust and noise from the buses and trucks going by all day long. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with medicine boxes of all kinds. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer needs because the shelves are so packed. We have a counter in the front where people hand over their prescriptions. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are heading home from work and stop by to pick up their monthly supplies. The lights are bright so we can see the small print on the labels. We don't have a lot of extra help, so the few of us who work here are always moving. We talk to the customers about their day while we bag their medicines. Sometimes we run out of something and have to call the distributor to bring it the next day. The flooring is old stone and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it does the job. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, open the glass doors, and start serving the people of Kokar. There’s no big secret to it, just keeping the stock updated and helping people find their pills. It is a loud but good place to work.
