One Stop Shop

Main Road in Hinoo gets pretty loud with all the buses and cars going through Ranchi. Our place, One Stop Shop, is right there in the middle of it all. Most days start early, before the sun really gets hot, just moving crates and dusting off the front counter. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular shop with stuff piled up on the shelves. People from around the 834002 area come in and out all day. Sometimes it's just someone needing a single pen or a packet of biscuits. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure things are where they belong. The floor gets dusty fast because of the road right outside, so there is always someone with a broom. It gets busy in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and they remember they forgot something. We just keep the lights on and wait for the last few folks to trickle in. Some days are slow, especially when it rains hard and the water pools up on the street, but that's just how it is here. We’ve been at this address for a good while now, seeing the shops around us change and the road get paved over and over. It’s just a normal way to spend the day, talking to neighbors and keeping the shelves stocked up.
