Om Bhandar

If you are heading down Latma Road near Singh More in Ranchi, you will see Om Bhandar. It is a small place but we pack a lot into it. Ranchi has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings, but this corner feels the same to me. I spend most of my day behind the counter. We have pulses, rice, and those little things you always forget at the big market. Singh More is a busy junction, so there is always some noise from the autos and bikes passing by. The shop address is 834003. I try to keep the prices fair because I know my customers aren't rich people. Some of them have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own children to buy candies from the glass jars. It makes me feel a bit old, but it is nice to see the generations. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, I know that. Maybe next year I will finally get around to it. For now, the priority is just making sure we have enough stock on the shelves. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and I have to explain it to everyone. People are usually patient though. It is a local shop for local people. I don't think about making it huge or anything like that. Just keeping the doors open and the lights on is enough for me.
