Neeraj Bhandar

Neeraj Bhandar is a local shop sitting in the middle of Sharma Market in Dhurwa, Ranchi. Our address is in the 834004 area and we are very near the Dhurwa Bus Stand. Being so close to the bus stand means it is rarely quiet around here. There is always the sound of engines and people shouting for their rides. We have been in this spot for a long time, serving the people who live nearby and those just passing through the market. The store is a typical bhandar where you can get grains, oils, and other essentials for the house. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside when we get a delivery because the sacks of rice take up a lot of room on the floor. I usually spend my afternoons reorganizing the shelves or checking the ledgers by hand. We don't use computers or anything like that for our daily work. It is just a pen and a notebook for us. The neighbors in Sharma Market are good people and we all look out for one another. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door, but we just put down a mat and keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Ranchi, just a reliable one for the folks in Dhurwa. It is a simple life of selling goods and chatting with the locals.
