Needs General Store is tucked away in Sati Mandir Lane. We are right off Ratu Road in Ranchi. The pin code is 834001. This lane can be a bit narrow so it’s mostly for the people who live right nearby. We have been here for a good number of years. It’s a general store so we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. You never know what someone is going to walk in and ask for. Ratu Road is always busy but once you turn into Sati Mandir Lane it gets a lot quieter. We like that. It feels more like a community here. The shop is small and sometimes the boxes are stacked a bit high because we don't have much storage in the back. We just move things around to make space for the customers. People come in to get their daily supplies and stay for a minute to talk about the weather or what’s happening in Ranchi. Needs General Store isn't a big name or anything. We are just a local spot. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big management team. It’s just us behind the counter. We take pride in being there when someone realizes they forgot to buy something for dinner. It’s a simple life running a shop in this lane but it suits us just fine. We just keep doing our thing.
