Ncc Urban Infrastructure Ltd. is where I spend most of my days. We are over at Sudhakar Sadan on Po Road. If you know Jainamore in Bokaro, then you know it can get pretty busy around here. The office isn't much to look at, just a few rooms filled with desks, some old maps of the area, and plenty of paperwork. It gets dusty because of all the work going on nearby, so we are always wiping things down. We don’t have a big corporate staff or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We handle infrastructure projects, which sounds fancy, but mostly it’s just making sure things get built correctly. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We drink a lot of tea while looking over plans. People walk in all the time asking for directions because Po Road is a main spot. We don't mind. We’ve been in Bokaro for a while now and we like being part of the community. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes the phone doesn’t stop ringing, but we get the work done. There is no big secret to how we operate. We just show up at Sudhakar Sadan and start working on whatever is on the desk that morning. It’s simple and it works for us.
