You can find us on the ground floor right along the Ring Road at Haji Chawk in Ratu. It’s a pretty easy spot to find because we are right opposite the Fashion Plaza Mall. Ranchi has changed a lot, but this area stays pretty lively with all the shoppers and traffic. At Mkan Design & Engineering Consultant, things are usually moving pretty fast. We have our desks set up for engineering work and there are always blueprints or technical sheets pinned up somewhere. Being on the ground floor means we see everyone walking by. It’s not a corporate skyscraper type of place. It’s more of a walk-in, sit-down kind of office. We spend most of our hours looking at structural details or figuring out design problems. Sometimes the mall across the street gets really crowded on weekends, but we’re usually deep into our notes by then. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a handful of us who know the technical stuff. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel because we spend so much time here. There’s a kettle in the corner for tea and plenty of pens that always seem to go missing. We’ve got our address at 835222 and we’ve been part of the neighborhood for a good while. People just drop in when they need something figured out. It’s simple, honest work every day. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep the energy up.
