Mital Kirana Store

Mital Kirana Store is located on Itki Road in the Hehal area of Ranchi, not too far from Aadivashi Chowk. The area has changed a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same with its stacks of pulses and bags of rice. We have a lot of people coming in from the nearby houses, especially in the early morning for their daily needs. The shop is not very large, so we have to be careful about how we pile up the crates of eggs or the boxes of soap. Ranchi weather is usually okay, but when it rains, it really pours, and we have to move everything back from the front so it doesn't get wet. I spend most of my time weighing out sugar or packing up small bags of spices for the customers. It is a lot of standing and walking around in a tight space, but you get used to it. We don't bother with any big advertisements or anything like that; people just know we are here near the chowk. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late, and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything put away on the shelves. It is just a normal life of running a small business, trying to keep the neighbors supplied with the basics and keeping the shop clean and tidy as much as possible. We focus on the everyday work and making sure we have enough stock for the week ahead.
