M.Devi Hospital (Opc) Private Limited

This is M. Devi Hospital, located in the Bariyatu area near RMCH. It was set up by the Rawari family. It’s a small operation, what they call an OPC. We operate out of a building that’s been part of the neighborhood for a long time. It’s not a big corporate hospital with glass walls and uniforms. It’s more of a local clinic that grew a bit over the years. We take care of people who live around Kok-2. Most of the folks who come here are workers or families from the nearby streets. We do our best with what we have and keep the place running. The doctors are there to listen and give out medicine or advice. It’s a practical place. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy brochures. We just focus on getting people back on their feet so they can work. The hallways are narrow and it can get a bit hot in the summer, but we have fans running all day. We know the names of the kids who come in for their regular checkups. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and talk to someone. We keep our records in ledgers and try to stay on top of the paperwork every evening. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help the person who walks through the door today.
