Mallu General Store

Mallu General Store is tucked away in Upper Bazar here in Ranchi. It’s a busy area and we have been part of it for a while now. The streets can be quite narrow and crowded, but that's just how the market is. We sell basic things that people in the neighborhood need every day. Flour, oil, sugar, and small items like matches or pens. It’s a small family business, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting at the front. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know where we are because they’ve been coming here for a long time. The building is old, and we’ve kept the shop mostly the same over the years. It’s not like those big malls. We know what our customers want, and we keep it in stock. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking outside, so most people just walk over. The mornings are usually the busiest time for us. We get the crates delivered and have to move things around to make room. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really do any advertising. Word of mouth is how we get by. Just a straightforward shop in the heart of Ranchi. If you need something for your kitchen, we probably have it sitting on a shelf somewhere back there. It might take a minute to find but we always get there.
