Pallavi Cakes Flowers

You can find us right on the Main Road. Being on the Main Road means we get a lot of people passing by, whether they are walking to work or driving home. Pallavi Cakes Flowers is a bit of a mix of things. Some days the whole place smells like fresh sponges coming out of the oven, and other days it smells like lilies or roses. It is a bit of a small space, so we have to be careful about where we put everything so we don't trip over buckets of water or bags of flour. Early mornings are the busiest time for us because that’s when the fresh flowers arrive and we have to get the baking started so everything is ready for the morning rush. It’s just a few of us working here, and we usually have flour on our aprons by nine in the morning. We don't have a fancy website or a big social media team. Most people just stop by because they saw the flowers in the window or they heard about our cakes from someone else in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with delicate things, but we enjoy the pace. When it gets busy, it can be a bit stressful trying to get orders finished on time, but we always manage to get it done. The shop is bright and full of life, even on the days when the rain is pouring down outside on the street.
