Mahabir General Store

Mahabir General Store is over in Hinoo, Ranchi, right across from Indira Palace. It is a handy spot for people living around here. The shop is just a room filled with cupboards and racks. I spend my morning taking things out of boxes and putting them where people can see them. We have snacks for the school kids and household items for the mothers. It is a lot of small sales all day long. I get tired of counting out change sometimes but that is the job. The floors are concrete and they get cold in the winter. We have a small radio that stays on most of the day to keep me company. When the Indira Palace has an event, it gets very busy on the street outside and more people pop in for water or chips. I don't have any employees, it is just me. I have to lock up if I want to go grab a quick lunch. The shelves are full of things like toothpaste, light bulbs, and various packets of spices. It is a simple life and the shop keeps me busy enough. Hinoo is a nice area and I have been here for quite a while now. Most people know me by now and I know what they usually want before they even ask. I just keep the place open and make sure I have enough stuff on the shelves for whoever walks in.
