Mabranchi

Mabranchi operates out of a place called Shahina Manzil. It’s 1/19 in the Resaldarnagar area of Doranda, which is in Ranchi. The office is actually part of what looks like a residential spot, so it feels very much like a home environment. We aren’t a huge corporation with floors of people. It’s more like a small group of us working out of a couple of rooms. The address is linked to Ca Faizan Ahmad, and that’s where most of the heavy thinking happens. Ranchi is a quiet enough place compared to the huge metros, but Doranda has its own busy rhythms. We have people dropping by all the time, sometimes just to chat or ask a quick question about some paperwork. We don't have a uniform or a strict way of doing things. We just sit down, have some tea, and get through the files that are piled up on the table. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out or work by the window light. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know the people in the neighborhood and they know us. We don’t put up big signs or do anything flashy. We just keep the door open at Shahina Manzil and try to keep our records straight. It’s a simple life and the work is steady enough for us to keep going year after year without any trouble.
