Krishna Glass

Krishna Glass is situated on Lalji Hirji Road. It is a busy street and we are right in the middle of all the daily commotion. Dealing with glass is a tricky business because one wrong move and everything is shattered on the floor. We have to be very careful when we are moving the big sheets around or cutting them to size for a customer. The shop floor is covered in small scraps of glass so we always have to wear thick boots and be mindful of where we step. We have been on this road for quite some time now and we know most of the other shopkeepers nearby. Our office is just a small desk in the corner where we keep the receipts and the measuring tapes. We don't use any fancy computer programs to do our designs, we mostly just use a pencil and a piece of paper to mark things out. It's an old-fashioned way of doing things but it works for us and our customers seem to appreciate the honesty of it. The noise from the street is constant with horns honking and people shouting but you get used to it after a few years. We just focus on the glass in front of us and try to make sure every cut is as straight as it can be. It's a job that requires a lot of patience and a steady hand.
