Kamlesh General Store

Kamlesh General Store is out near Pitharia More in the Upper Bazar area. It’s a nice spot because we get people coming in from the main part of Ranchi and also from the outskirts. I’ve been running this place for a while now. We keep a good supply of daily necessities. Things like tea leaves, washing powder, and different types of rice are always in stock. The shop is quite simple. We have wooden shelves that we built ourselves years ago. They are a bit worn down now, but they hold everything just fine. My wife helps me out in the afternoons when the kids are at school. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket. We just want to be the place where you can pick up the things you forgot on your way home. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the traffic at Pitharia More, so we have to wait around for our stock. We know our regulars well and sometimes we even set aside things they like. It’s a small shop, so you can’t miss it if you’re in the area. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the items where they fit. It’s a lot of work to keep everything tidy, but we manage. Just a local store for local people, doing our best to keep the neighborhood supplied with what they need.
