Kamal Bhandar

We have been running Kamal Bhandar in Sector-2 for quite a while now. It is just a small shop here in Dhurwa, Ranchi. People come in for their daily stuff, like rice or pulses. It gets a bit busy in the mornings when everyone is out getting things for breakfast. We try to keep the shelves stocked, but sometimes things run out before the new delivery arrives. That is just how it is. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. It is a quiet life here. The address is easy to find if you are near the main road. We do not have fancy displays or anything. Just the basic items people need every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back room. It can be a bit messy behind the counter with all the old ledgers. But we manage. My brother usually helps me in the afternoons. We open early and close when the street gets quiet at night. Ranchi weather can be tricky, so we keep the shutters halfway down if it is raining too hard. It is just a regular place for regular people. Nothing more than that. We do not do home delivery or anything like that. People just drop by on their way home from work. It has been this way for years and we do not plan on changing much. Just keeping the shop open.
