Ishwar Kirana Stores

If you are in Makhmargo Village in the Birni Block, you will find Ishwar Kirana Stores located right near the Bank of India. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep a bit of everything that a family might need during the week. Since we are in a village, our customers are mostly our neighbors and people living in the surrounding farms. We sell things like tea leaves, biscuits, cooking oil, and various spices that come in small packets. The shop is quite humble. We don't have any fancy display cases, just wooden shelves that have seen better days. It gets quite busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work and realize they forgot to buy salt or matches. We keep the doors open as long as there's light, and sometimes a bit later if people are still around. The Bank of India nearby brings a lot of foot traffic to this corner, so we see many faces throughout the day. We don't do any delivery or anything like that; people just walk over and have a chat while we pack their goods. Sometimes the supply truck takes a few extra days to arrive, so we might run out of certain items for a bit, but that’s just life out here. It’s a quiet existence, and we are happy being a small part of the village and knowing everyone who walks through the door.
