Indian Prestressing Company

This office is over in Ashok Nagar, right on Road Number 1. We’ve been set up at 61/D for a while now. Most people in Ranchi know this neighborhood because it’s pretty central. Our work is mostly about prestressing, which isn’t something you hear about every day unless you’re in the building trade. It’s heavy work, involving lots of steel and tensioning. The office here handles the scheduling and the client meetings. It gets a bit cramped when we have all the site maps spread out on the desks. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. We aren't a massive corporation with a glass building; we just work out of this house-turned-office. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We keep a generator ready. Dealing with concrete and heavy structures means things can get messy, so don't expect a showroom when you walk in. There’s usually some dust and a lot of noise from the phone ringing. We just try to get the jobs done on time so the bridges or buildings we are working on stay standing. It’s practical work for practical people. If you’re looking for us, look for the gate near the corner; the sign is a bit small but it’s there on the wall.
