We operate out of Shiv Sadan in Bilasi Town, which is in Deoghar. It’s a well-known spot around here. Being in Jharkhand, we get a lot of local folks coming by to ask about our industrial products. The office is part of a regular building owned by Birendra Pandit, and it has that local, lived-in feel to it. It’s not one of those sterile offices with bright lights and matching furniture. We’ve got a mix of old chairs and a big heavy door that sticks sometimes when the weather is humid. Working for Hyderabad Industries Ltd from Deoghar is interesting because the town has such a specific rhythm. We try to stick to that. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what’s needed for the local projects. Sometimes we sit out front for a few minutes just to breathe the air before the next set of phone calls starts. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. We write our notes by hand mostly and keep the computer for the official stuff. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us and the people we deal with. We’re just local people working in a local office, keeping things moving along as best as we can without any fuss. The walls are a bit faded and there is a stack of old newspapers in the corner. We don't need much to keep things running properly. It’s just about being there when the work needs doing every single morning.
