We are located over in Muri, which is a fair distance from the main city of Ranchi in Jharkhand. Our office is actually part of the company quarters, specifically Quarter Number C-1/3. Sukhamay Banerjee is the person you will usually see there. It is a very practical setup, right where the work happens in Chota Muri. Living and working in the same area means we never really switch off from the job, but that is just how things go for us here. Hindalco has a big presence in this part of the state, and we have been a staple of the local economy for a long time. The office itself is not anything special to look at. It has desks, chairs, and many cabinets full of files. We deal with the logistics of the metal industry and make sure everything is moving along the way it should. There is a lot of dust from the operations sometimes, and the noise of the machinery is just part of the background. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. We would rather just focus on making sure the operations are solid. The people who work here are mostly locals or people who moved into the colony for the work. We share meals and talk about the plant and our families. It is an honest way to make a living, and we are just regular people doing our part.
