Hasmookh Welfare Foundation

We are located right on the Bypass Road in Daltonganj, Palamau. The office is associated with the family of Tarkeshwar Prasad. It is a busy spot because of the road, so there is always a bit of noise from the trucks going by. We call ourselves Hasmookh because we want to see people smiling. Welfare is what we do, but we don't make it sound like a big government program. We just help out with whatever comes up in the community. Daltonganj is a place with its own set of challenges, and we try to face them alongside our neighbors. We don't have a polished office with air conditioning. It’s just a regular room with some benches and a table. People stop by on their way into town. We talk about everything from farming to schooling. We aren't here to give speeches or make big promises. We just do the small things that need doing. It might be helping someone fill out a form or giving advice on a local matter. Being on the Bypass Road means we see people from all over Palamau. We like that. It keeps us connected to the whole region. It is a straightforward way to live and we wouldn't have it any other way. We usually close up when the sun goes down.
