Hariom General Stores

You'll find us on Kadru Ashok Nagar Road. Most people know us because we're right near Gate No Ashok Nagar. It’s a good spot in Ranchi, 834002. Being a general store means a lot of lifting boxes and checking dates on packets. It's a small place, really. We've got stuff stacked up pretty high because there isn't a lot of floor space. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets crowded in the evenings. The road outside can get a bit narrow with all the parked scooters, but people manage. We see a lot of folks from the colony coming in after work. It’s mostly just a routine of opening the shutters, sweeping the floor, and waiting for the first customer. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next delivery truck to come down Ashok Nagar. That's just part of the job. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just the name Hariom General Stores above the door. If you live around here, you probably walk past us every day. It's been that way for a long time. The neighborhood has changed, more houses now, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We like the local vibe. It's quiet enough most of the time. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. No fuss about it. We’re just here for the neighborhood.
