Gulshan General Store

Gulshan General Store is right at Kartik Orom Chowk on Harmu Road in Ranchi. The area is always buzzing with people and traffic. We are located in a spot where a lot of commuters pass by. The shop is a bit small, so we have to be clever about how we stack the soaps and shampoos. Ranchi weather changes a lot, so some days we are dealing with rain coming in through the front, and other days it’s just heat. We have a lot of regular customers who work in the offices nearby. They come in for a quick snack or a bottle of water. Harmu Road is a major path, so it never really gets quiet until late at night. We keep the store open long hours to make sure we don’t miss anyone. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor is a bit worn down from all the walking. We don't use any fancy software for the inventory. I just walk around with a clipboard and see what’s running low. It’s a very hands-on job. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the grain bags. We just offer the usual daily items. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up every morning, roll up the shutters, and see who comes through the door at Kartik Orom Chowk. It’s a simple, honest business. We try to be helpful when someone can’t find something, but mostly we just let people look around for themselves.
