You can find us at L-70 in the Argora Housing Colony. We are part of the Government of Jharkhand setup here in Ranchi. The Argora area is quite old and established, so it has a lot of trees and is relatively quiet compared to the main city center. Our office is right there in the colony, near the Doranda post office side. It’s a basic government building, nothing that would catch your eye from the street. We handle various administrative things for the state. Inside, there is the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fans clicking away. We don't have any of those modern open-plan offices. It is all separate rooms with heavy doors. We spend a lot of time on our ledgers and responding to letters that come in from different departments. People from the colony often stop by to ask about local issues or problems they are having. It’s a very local way of working. The rain in Ranchi can be quite heavy during the season, and sometimes the roof leaks a little in the corner, but we just put a bucket there and keep going with our tasks. We aren't trying to be anything special or modern. We are just the local office for the people in this part of town. Most of the staff has been here for a long time, so we know the routine by heart. It’s just about getting the daily tasks done and keeping the records in order.
