If you head down to Harmu Bazar, you will find us near Chandrawati Hospital. It is a busy part of the neighborhood, so there are always people walking past our doors. We sell a lot of different books, from school stuff to things people just want to read for fun. The shop is often a bit crowded with boxes because we get deliveries pretty often and don't always have the time to put everything away right away. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a few people are browsing at the same time, but we make it work. Working near the hospital means we see people from all over, not just the locals from the bazar. We don't really do much fancy advertising; we just stay open and try to help people find what they are looking for among the stacks. The dust in the bazar can be a real pain, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the covers. Some of the books have been on the shelves for a while, while others go out the door the same day they arrive. It is just a plain old bookstore with a lot of paper and the smell of old ink. We don’t have any big corporate plans, we just want to keep the shop running and make sure we have enough stock for the next day. It is hard work staying on top of the inventory, but it is what we do.
