Our shop is over at City Center on Club Road, occupying numbers 17 and 18. It stays pretty bright in here because we have so many fixtures hanging from the ceiling and stuck to the walls. In the evenings, when the sun goes down, the whole place glows and you can see it from further down the street. We spend a lot of time unboxing new bulbs and testing out LED strips to make sure they actually work before someone takes them home. Sometimes the floor gets covered in bubble wrap and cardboard bits that we have to clear away. It's a bit of a maze walking through the narrow aisles without bumping into a lamp. Most people come in looking for something specific for their kitchen or a new office, and we just point them to the right shelf. The Club Road area is decent, and we get a good mix of people stopping by after their work shift. We have a small ladder that we’re always moving around to reach the higher displays. It’s a bit dusty on the top shelves, no matter how much we try to clean it. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays lit up and the orders go out correctly. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most important thing in the shop. It’s just a regular local business, trying to keep the lights on for everyone else while we do our own thing day by day.
