We opened up here in Ashok Nagar quite a while ago. You can find us at Q. No-38/C on Park Road, right there near Road No-1 in Ranchi. It’s a busy little area, especially during the wedding season when everyone is looking for something gold. Our shop isn't fancy with bright flashing lights or anything like that. We just have glass cases filled with the usual stuff like rings, heavy necklaces, and those thin gold chains people wear every day. Most of the folks who walk in are from around the neighborhood. They come by to get things fixed or to pick out a gift for a niece or a grandson. Sometimes the tea stall guy next door brings over chai while we’re talking to a customer about the weight of a bangle. It gets dusty on the road outside because of the traffic, but inside it stays quiet enough to do business. We’ve seen kids grow up and come back to buy jewelry for their own weddings. That’s just how it goes here in Jharkhand. We keep our ledgers by hand and talk to people face to face. It’s a simple way of working. There are plenty of bigger stores in the city, but people seem to like coming here because they know where we sit and they recognize our faces after all these years. We just try to keep the stock updated with what people actually want to wear.
