Arpit General Store

Arpit General Store is right here on Ratu Road in Ranchi. We are in the Suraj Bhawan building, which is easy to find if you know the area. We’re located right across from the Kabristan and very close to the Bank of Baroda. It’s a busy part of town, 834001. There’s always traffic on Ratu Road, so it stays pretty lively outside our doors. We started this general store because we wanted to work for ourselves. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. It’s just us. We sell a bit of everything, from snacks to small household items. People often stop in after they finish their business at the Bank of Baroda. Sometimes it’s just someone passing by who needs a quick thing. We try to keep the shelves full, though sometimes shipments take longer than they should. That’s just life in Ranchi. The shop isn't fancy, just functional. We have our regulars who come in every morning for their daily needs. We know their preferences and usually have their items ready before they even ask. It’s a lot of work staying on top of inventory, especially when it’s just a few of us. But we like the routine of it. If you’re ever walking down Ratu Road and see Suraj Bhawan, that’s where we are. It’s a humble place, just doing what we do every day.
